st christopher's modular building
location | accrington, UK
stages | RIBA 0-7
completion | expected 2014
project description
Following the school having their ROSLA block being condemned for containing a high amount of asbestos that school needed to replace the shortfall in teaching spaces as quickly as possible and on a tight budget.
The solution was to design and build a bespoke modular constructed classroom block over two floors. Modular units were constructed in a factory in Yorkshire and delivered to site when required, being erected over two days. The finished product gives the school a contemporary solution on an excellent budget.
